2012 First Rate Living Luncheon

First Rate Living LogoOn Thursday, April 19, 2012, First Rate® sponsored a First Rate Living Luncheon to honor the nominees of the Extra Mile Servant Leader of the Year Award. The First Rate Living Luncheon originated in the mind of First Rate founder, Dave Stone, eight years ago to show appreciation to adults who serve the youth in Arlington. The luncheon, hosted in partnership with the Arlington Alliance for Youth, took place in the Diamond Club at the Texas Rangers Ballpark Stadium.

The Arlington Alliance for Youth presented the Extra Mile Award to eight caring adults in Arlington who serve on staff or as volunteers and go the “extra mile” to help Arlington youth develop and mature. Winners epitomize servant leadership, focusing first on service to others and then on building helpful community support. A selection committee reviews all nominations and selects those that best epitomize the meaning of a servant leader.

The winners each received a trophy recognizing them as an “Extra Mile” Servant Leader of the Year and were given the opportunity to designate a 501(c)3 charity to receive a donation in their honor from First Rate, Inc. Our sincerest appreciation to the winners for the difference they make in the lives of our youth.
